Across the Eastern Caribbean, vibrant libraries and creative literacy efforts are continuing to help children grow into confident readers.

The 2025–2026 school year is about to commence, and we are excited to launch our fundraising campaign to support schools. The enthusiasm for libraries remains high, and the momentum built over the past few years has energized our efforts to meet the growing demand for books, educational resources, and literacy leadership. This year, we are focusing on four main priorities:

  1. Continue the success of our signature Caribbean Literacy and School Support (CLASS) program by providing vital books and leadership to sustain and maintain K–12 libraries and literacy gains. In addition to books, the CLASS program supports student librarian, library lending and borrowing, Peace Corps Volunteer assignments, student research and examination preparation, and early learning initiatives.
  2. Support a wide range of reading abilities with Remedial Reading Sets: special collections of high-interest, low-level readers and decodable books, available for use and borrowing in school resource centers throughout the region.
  3. Build on our progress by expanding the Special Education Needs collection across the region, helping to bridge critical learning and resource gaps for vulnerable children and students with learning disabilities.
  4. Reach the youngest learners (ages 3–5) by scaling the Hands Across the Sea Early Pages Programme (EPP). The EPP is the first universal emergent literacy initiative in the region, building print-rich environments, healthy reading habits, family involvement, and community participation in early childhood education.

Check out the list below to see schools in need of your support this year. Any amount of support helps us to keep young minds and imaginations growing.

If you see a school you would like to adopt or provide for, please write the name of the school in the comments section at checkout.

From summer reading camps to whole-student learning initiatives, Antigua continues to lead the way in many of our academic recovery efforts across the region. In 2025–26, alongside our ongoing support for CLASS partner schools, we are deepening our focus on students with learning differences by expanding access to Remedial Reading Sets and Special Education Needs collections in schools where programming is strong but resources remain limited.
